GUID Generator

Technically, GUID is Microsoft's implementation of the UUID standard. For most practical purposes, they are the same 128-bit structure used to identify information in software systems.

In SQL Server, you can use the UNIQUEIDENTIFIER data type. You can insert the string format generated here directly into your SQL queries or table definitions.

While not mathematically impossible, the probability of generating the same GUID twice is so low that it is considered zero for all practical engineering and computing applications.
