It checks if the string follows the [header].[payload].[signature] format and decodes the payload to check if the current time is before the expiration date.
Signature verification requires your private secret key. For security, we do not ask for your secret, so we only validate structure and expiration.
The "exp" (expiration) claim identifies the expiration time on or after which the JWT must not be accepted for processing by the server.
