Pyramid Volume

The volume of a pyramid is calculated as $V = \frac{1}{3} \times \text{Base Area} \times \text{Height}$. For a rectangular base, this is $\frac{1}{3} (l \times w) h$.

The height used in the volume formula must be the perpendicular distance from the apex (top point) down to the center of the base.

The principle is the same: $1/3 \times \text{Area of the triangular base} \times \text{Height}$. Our calculator specifically handles rectangular/square bases.
